Celebrating ten years of recognising the achievements and impact of UK alumni in Greece, the British Council Greece hosted the Study UK Alumni Awards 2026 in partnership with the British Embassy Athens, with the support of the British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and UK Alumni Associations in Greece. The Awards honour graduates of UK universities who have made a meaningful contribution to business, science, culture, or social action.

DevComm’s Founder and Managing Director, Dimitrios Chaidas, a former recipient of the Social Action Award, participated in this year’s Awards as a member of the judging panel and presented the Social Action Award during the ceremony. His involvement underscores DevComm’s continued support for initiatives that recognise global talent and highlight the role of international education in driving social and economic progress.

In remarks delivered during the ceremony, Mr Chaidas highlighted the calibre and values of this year’s candidates, noting:

"The quality of the applications was exceptionally high, reflecting thoughtful leadership, clear purpose, and a strong understanding of complex social challenges. What stood out most was not only measurable impact, but also the commitment with which applicants approached collaboration, sustainability, and responsibility to the communities they serve."

The ceremony took place in Athens on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, hosted by His Excellency Matthew Lodge, British Ambassador to Greece, and Anastasia Andritsou, Director of the British Council in Greece and Cyprus.
